About Us

The Orinda Woman's Club has a long history of community involvement and enrichment.   Along with our philanthropic endeavors, we find time to participate in community activities and have fun in social get-togethers.
Our major annual fundraiser is The Festival of Trees, an event that raises funds for one or more major beneficiary in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties, as well as for organizations selected by our Community Service Committee.  The event is held in November and includes a New York runway-style fashion show, catered luncheon, raffles for fabulous trips, beautifully decorated table-top trees, and amazing "themed" baskets filled with goodies from wines and wine paraphernalia to Italian foods, crockery, and books to beauty products and spa gift certificates.  The event also features amazing Silent Auction Items and one or more Destination Raffles.

In recent years, major beneficiaries of funds raised at The Festival of Trees have included:

  • Berkeley Hope Scholars

  • Pillars of Hope

  • CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)

  • Child Abuse Prevention Council

  • Xenophon Therapeutic Riding Center

  • Holden High School

  • California Youth Connection

  • Opportunity Junction

  • A Friendly Place

OWC supports the Orinda Library through the Orinda Woman's Club Endowment Fund.
